Remit
To prepare the agenda for the main meetings of the Association and deal with any business which has to be completed between the main meetings of the Association.

1. Apologies for absence
There were apologies for absence received from Cllr A Holloway and Cllr D Hainge.
2. Minutes of the last Executive Meeting held in September 2013
The minutes of the last Executive Meeting were approved as a correct record.
3. Agenda for Quarterly Meeting to be held on 24th January 2014
The meeting discussed the quarterly meeting agenda and approved.
4. Financial report
The meeting consider the financial report as attached to the agenda.
5. Conference/AGM 2014
The meeting considered in detail the proposed options for the Conference and AGM for 2014. The meeting AGREED to recommend option 1 to the members at the Quarterly meeting in January.
The meeting AGREED to recommend that ‘Local Government Re-organisation’ be the topic with the author of the ‘Williams’ report to be asked to be the speaker.
6. Report on President and Vice President
Cllr B Bertola gave a short report on the presentations to the Past President.
The certificate to Ken Iball will be sent by post.
7. Planning Bill
The Secretary outlined the bill and it was agreed it was important enough for a presentation to be completed at the January meeting.
The meeting expressed concern that they had not heard about this prior to this time. The Bill was published on 4th December for comment – it beyond initial consultation stage. The Secretary pointed out that Town and Community Clerks should check every two weeks on the Welsh Government and County Council web sites for consultations which may affect their councils.

The date of the next meeting of the Executive has been set at
Friday 14th March 2014 at 10.30am a the Offices of Rhyl Town Council.
