Minutes Of an Executive Meeting held at Rhyl Town Council on
Friday 21st September 2012 at 10.30am
Present were
Cllr M Roberts (Chair), Cllr B Bertola,Cllr A Holloway and Robert Robinson (Secretary)
1. Apologies for absence
There were apologies for absence received from Cllr J Butterfield, Cllr J McLennan A Guinn, D Hainge and Cllr T Renshaw.
2. Minutes of the last meeting
The minutes of the last meeting were signed as a correct record.
3. Agenda for the Quarterly Meeting
The agenda for the quarterly meeting was approved with the addition of the speaker at the start of the meeting and the constitutional matters (noted below).
4. Consultations
It was agreed that the consultation papers for inclusion in the main agenda of the next quarterly meeting be so included as written.
5. Voting recommendation
The meeting considered the voting protocol for meetings and it was agreed that the following be taken forward:
1. A paper be prepared for discussion only at the next quarterly meeting.
2. A voting paper be sent with said paper to each Council for return to the secretary by the start of the next quarterly meeting.
3. The result of the vote shall be then added to the constitution for approval at the Annual Meeting to be held in July 2013.
6. Name of the Association
As part of the constitution review the name of the Association was considered and the following was agreed to be taken forward.
- A paper be prepared for discussion only at the next quarterly meeting.
- A voting paper be sent with said paper to each Council for return to the secretary by the start of the next quarterly meeting.
- The result of the vote shall be then added to the constitution for approval at the Annual Meeting to be held in July 2013.
The names to be considered are:
North Wales Association of Town and Larger Community Councils
North and Mid Wales Association of Town and Larger Community Councils
North and Mid Wales Association of Local Councils
7. Constitution
The constitution has not yet been found and a request is to be put out to all Members to find a copy. There is no copy on file.
PS Since the meeting a copy has been found via Llandudno Town Council.
