ADOPTED POLICY ON EXPENSES
Introduction
The Association has to date paid expenses to members on an ad hoc basis. The secretary recommends that this situation formalised and recorded.
Who can claim expenses
Members or officers who incur expenses in the carrying out of their duties for Association business other than for the normal quarterly or annual meeting.
What expenses can be claimed
Travelling expenses (train or bus) and car milage at the rate of 40p per mile.
Reasonable subsistence where duties dictate.
When can they be claimed
They can be claimed upon production of receipts or by completing a claim form for milage.
Who approves the expenses
The secretary (up to £25) per claim or the Association quarterly meeting for expenses above that sum.
