SHOPPING IN NORTH WALES
The Association has considered how shopping centres maybe revived. Many have tried and failed to substantially improve things. It is considered that all shopping centres are now 30% over shopped and there needs to be a re-adjustment. The full report is set out under documents which includes a possible way forward. The paper has been sent to Welsh Government as a suggestion.
SECTION 6 - BIODIVERSITY REPORTING
This is the first year of a requirement for town and community councils to complete a section 6 biodiversity report. Full information will be provided at the January 2026 meeting of the Association so that members know what they are expected to do.
RAIL AND FERRY SERVICES - HOLYHEAD
The Association has carried out a number of rail surveys this year. One of the main concerns of passengers on the North Coast Line is the lack of co-ordination between rail and ferry services. Trains run later and the ferry has gone by the time they arrive. The Association is putting together a meeting between the rail and ferry companies to see how the situation can be improved.
